uTorrent

After having used [Azureus](http://azureus.sourceforge.net “Azureus”) as my torrent client for a couple of years, [uTorrent](http://utorrent.com/ “uTorrent”) is my new client of choice. It has most of the features which made me use [Azureus](http://azureus.sourceforge.net “Azureus”) in the first place, without using hundreds of megabytes of memory. I can finally do something with my computer while I’m downloading the lastest and greates livesets as [uTorrent](http://utorrent.com/ “uTorrent”) only uses ~6 Mb of memory while running.

Dijjer

Monday, October 3rd, 2005

Tired of having to make .torrent files to publish your files using P2P technology? Have a look at [Dijjer](http://www.dijjer.org “Dijjer”), which makes sharing files pretty much transparent. It does require a client download, but the first time someone clicks on your download link they’re walked through the installation process and after that it’s transparent to the user.

### Features ###

* Downloads pieces in order, meaning you can start listening to or viewing the file as it downloads.
* Really easy to offer files (just prefix the url to the file with http://www.dijjer.org/get/)
* Uses NAT2NAT technology, meaning you don’t need to open any ports in your router/firewall
* Downloads happen in your browser
* No spyware / adware
