Picasa

Google has released Picasa for Linux, and even provides a .deb for Ubuntu. Installing it is as easy as downloading the archive from the above link, and typing the following in a terminal:

sudo dpkg -i /home/erlends/picasa_2.2.2820-5_i386.deb

It contains a copy of Wine and Gecko, so it comes at 21M, but it looks just like the windows version, and was able to import the photos from my Sony Ericsson w800i automatically when I plugged it in. Way to go Google, my parents just lost another reason to stay with Windows.
