PC Magazine has a nice review of Beta 1 of Microsoft Office 12. Screenshots of the new interface are also available.
I find it very interesting that Microsoft dared re-vamp the interface to Office this drastically. Word has always been horrible to use, so I’m looking forward to trying this out. Hopefully it’ll be a success, and make way for OpenOffice and others to take the ideas even further. Unfortunately Outlook looks more or less the same, having only gotten integrated search and an optional todo-bar added.
