WASHINGTON - The recording industry on Wednesday sued 532 computer 
users it said were illegally distributing songs over the Internet, the first lawsuits 
since a federal appeals court blocked the use of special copyright subpoenas to 
identify those being targeted.

This time, though, they’ve submitted the IPs of the people sharing files, not the names. The RIAA expects the courts to come up with the names and locations of these people, as they no longer can force the ISPs to give out that information.

Each of these offenders come from four different ISPs, and are being described as “major offenders” with over 800 songs shared each.
