A group representing Canada's songwriters will ask the Supreme Court of 
Canada to force Internet service providers to pay them royalties for the 
millions of digital music files downloaded each year by Canadians.

As downloading from P2P networks for personal use is legal in Canada, I’m not surprised that someone feels they lose money. But, forcing everyone to pay for what some people do isn’t the way to go.
