The owner of the popular Kazaa file-sharing network is announcing a bid for legitimacy today with a new trade group aimed at challenging the perception that file sharing is nothing more than a tool for digital piracy.

It will be interesting to see if anything comes of this, but I seriously doubt it. The RIAA has decided that file-sharing is evil, evil, evil, and I’m pretty sure nothing will change their minds unless they get loads of money.
